Vespers by Ichthus
A Sunday practice to set the tone for the week ahead.
Sunday evening carries a particular quality of light — the weekend settling, the week not yet begun. It is a threshold moment and Ichthus meets you there.
Vespers is a weekly online gathering for men who want to begin the week from a place of intention rather than reaction. Not another thing to attend, but a place to return to — a quiet, unhurried hour that anchors the soul before the demands of Monday arrive.
Light Biblical Teaching
A slow word from scripture for the week ahead.
Light Biblical Teaching opens the practice with a brief, grounded reflection drawn from scripture — not a sermon, not a lecture, but a word offered slowly, with room to land. Something to carry into the week rather than simply consume in the moment.
Restorative Movement
Releasing the weight of the week through the body.
Restorative Movement invites the body into the practice through gentle, accessible yoga. Sunday evenings hold the accumulated weight of the week behind us. Restorative movement is a way of releasing that weight — softening the body, quieting the nervous system and arriving more fully in the present moment.
Breath Care
Slowing the breath to make room for the spirit.
A brief, intentional practice of slowing and deepening the breath follows. When the body is calm and the breath is steady, the spirit has room. Men leave this portion of the gathering noticeably quieter than when they arrived.
Weekly Prayer and Blessing
A sending word to carry into Monday.
A Weekly Prayer and Blessing closes the hour. Not a performance, but a sending — words spoken over the men gathered, naming what they carry and entrusting it to God.
A blessing to take into Monday morning.
